On the latest compilation series for DJ Bonobo, the Houston, TX based trio Khruangbin gets a chance to curate a soundtrack of their favourite songs to chill to. It includes some rare soul, disco and reggae grooves from all around the world.
“It’s cool to think about what you would listen to late at night, as a band together, lighting a spliff, kinda vibe. We definitely wanted to cover as much global territory as possible; so it was the globe and then home.”
Featured artists include Nazia Hassan with a Hindi-disco cut, South Korean synth-pop by Sanullim, Nigerian and Ethiopian originals by Maxwell Udoh and the Roha Band, a Belarus love song performed by Песняры as well as exotic and sexy tunes by George Yanagi (Japan) and Paloma San Basilio (Spain).
