Beat-maestro Pete Rock will finally bring back his PeteStrumentals LP series. “PeteStrumentals 3” is scheduled for a December release. Unlike his previous works, Pete Rock the godfather of hip hop sampling himself goes new directions and collaborates with a talented live session band named The Soul Brothers.
Rock‘s got something to add as he underlines that fans will not be disappointed: “A lot of this album sounds like samples extracted from records. We dress it up and add definition to what it is. It’s Hip-Hop, but have you ever heard Pete Rock not sample anything or work with a band? It’s exciting. I’m a musician, whether I’m sampling or not.”
